ORTHOPEDICS

Treatment that focus in general is on muscles, bones, ligaments, tendons, and connective tissue.

Sun Physical Therapy’s foundations are in orthopedic physical therapy – the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions. This means treatment focus in general is on muscles, bones, ligaments, tendons, and connective tissue.

Whether you are dealing with a strain or sprain or a bone fracture, Sun Physical Therapy can help. We are trained to assess the stage of the injury – from acute to chronic – and provide the appropriate treatment approach.

FAQs

The acute phase usually lasts about 2 weeks from the initial injury. The subacute phases lasts up to 8 weeks. After 2-3 months, most injuries are considered chronic. You can be assessed by a physical therapist at any time. We can see patients when the first initial injury has occurred. Staff are trained to deal with acute injury management such as swelling and bruising reduction. We treat in the subacute phases and we frequently also see patients who are dealing with an injury that has become chronic. Even long-standing injuries have the ability to heal and return to their pre-injured state. Your physical therapist will work with you to provide the best treatment options.
